First Roanoke Moms Club Reunion
Celebrates One Year of Baby Basics

Roanoke's Baby Basics Moms Club Reunion was held April 9th, 2013.  Our Moms and their guests were treated to healthy  snacks, door prizes, and a fun evening of sharing with other new and expecting Moms. The highlight of the event was meeting those  beautiful babies after of months of waiting for their arrival! We are so pleased at how our club has grown in our first year and it just keeps getting better.  We could not have done it without our Moms, Dads, families, community partners, and talented Facilitators. Baby Basics Moms Club of SW Virginia is excited to announce the arrival on March 15th of our new Spanish Moms Club, Hola Bebé in Roanoke at Carilion OB Clinic. Meetings will be on the 1st and 3rd Fridays of each month from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., and as always is absolutely free for our moms and their support guests.  Click the button above for the meeting schedule.

Thanks to Tanglewood Kroger

How do you make grocery shopping fun? By shopping with a group of expectant Moms from our Roanoke Baby Basics Moms Club at Tanglewood Kroger Grocery Store! They toured and shopped with specially trained Kroger staff, learning helpful hints about making healthy food choices. Shopping carts were filled with fresh veggies, fruits, healthy meats, and of course, wrapped up shopping in the dairy department for eggs, milk and juice.

All the moms embraced the idea of trying new foods. After the tour and shopping, a special meal was prepared by the Kroger Deli. Delicious soups and salad were served-- perfect for this chilly fall evening.  And, our moms were able to take home their selected groceries and hopefully some memories of a fun evening.
