Baby Basics Moms Club in the New River Valley is where moms and dads are coming on Mondays! Our clubs are for all moms and their support persons. We hope moms will set aside some time for themselves and come share free gifts, snacks, fun, and lively conversation with other moms who will become new friends and a network of support! Our facilitators look forward to meeting you very soon!

Our Very First Reunion!
The New River Valley Moms Club held a reunion on April 30th, 2013 in celebration of one year of success at NRV Carilion Clinic. We are so pleased at how our club has grown in such a short time. Our Moms Club Is Off To A Great Start!
|
Our Carilion New River Valley Moms Club is continuing to grow and be a wonderful resource for NRV expectant moms. At a recent meeting, we invited a guest speaker who is a lactation consultant to talk to our moms and answer their questions about breastfeeding. At another meeting, we made a "Before Baby" checklist of things that should be considered before delivery. Planning ahead is a great way to lessen the stress of waiting for baby.

Baby Basics Moms Club is off to a great start in New River Valley thanks to the dedicated efforts of Carilion staff and the Southwest Virginia Perinatal Council, and the generosity of March of Dimes Virginia Chapter. Carilion employees, community supporters, and several expectant moms had a great time at the April 17th Open House. Everyone involved in this project is very excited about their new Moms Club and what it will mean to the area.
At left, Baby Basics facilitators Casey Delph, Rhonda Lindamood, and Angie Absher are all smiles after accepting a check from Julie Abernathy, Community Director of the March of Dimes Virginia Chapter's Greater Blue Ridge Division.
